Setting aside 5% of monthly revenue of €15,000 would provide a marketing budget of approximately €750 per month.
That works out at approximately €173 per week or €9,000 per year.
At an average cost per lead of €50, the monthly budget could generate approximately 15 enquiries.
This is a moderate marketing allocation that may help support steady lead generation without taking a large share of monthly revenue.
There is no single marketing percentage that suits every trade business. Your ideal budget depends on your profit margins, available capacity, growth targets, location, competition, and the performance of each marketing channel.
Estimated leads are based entirely on the cost-per-lead figure entered. Spending money does not guarantee enquiries, although unfortunately advertising platforms have yet to introduce a “guaranteed van full of work” button.

Understanding Your Result
Monthly Budget = Monthly Revenue × Budget %
The calculator applies your chosen marketing percentage to average monthly revenue, then converts that amount into weekly and annual planning figures.
Marketing spend only creates an opportunity to generate enquiries. Actual results depend on the channels used, targeting, competition, offer quality, website performance, follow-up, and the cost of acquiring each lead.
This calculator multiplies your average monthly revenue by the percentage you choose to allocate to marketing. It then converts that monthly amount into weekly and annual budget figures.
There is no single percentage that is right for every business. The appropriate amount depends on profit margins, growth targets, capacity, competition, location, existing referrals, and how efficiently marketing spend produces profitable work.
The monthly marketing budget is divided by the average cost per lead you enter. For example, a €1,000 monthly budget with a €50 cost per lead would estimate 20 enquiries.
Not necessarily. Revenue percentages are useful for planning, but your final budget should also consider profit margins, cash flow, workload capacity, growth goals, and whether your existing marketing channels are generating worthwhile returns.
